Critical engagement with the past, history and historiography.


This blog emerges from my frustration with the often extreme thoughtlessness of much contemporary history/historiography.  It is currently standard practice in the field of production of understanding of the past that we call history to simply ignore know problems with the assumptions (ontological, epistemological, methodological, etc) that underpin that practice and this cannot continue.
